Josh Gretz

Josh has spent 20+ years building software and 10+ years leading engineering organizations as a CTO. He's stabilized codebases that were burning investor capital with nothing to show for it, rebuilt delivery cultures that had lost all confidence, and architected systems designed to outlast the people who built them.

His lens is diagnostic. When he looks at a codebase, an architecture, or an engineering team, he's not evaluating whether the work looks clean. He's identifying the structural failure points that explain why delivery keeps stalling. He calls it "technical sovereignty": the state where a client owns their own technical destiny and isn't dependent on any particular vendor, contractor, or black box to keep the lights on.

He's also actively leading AI agent-based development in production, not theorizing about what AI means for software teams, but doing it daily.
